ADI AD

The young families who established Adi Ad had a strong belief in the spiritual fulfillment provided by working the land in Eretz Yisrael. 25 families between the ages of 19-50 make their home here today, in the Binyamin Region, not far from Shvut Rahel.

Each family works 4 dunam of land with a variety of produce, including flowers, fruits and vegetables – many for export.

Four Adi Ad families are olim – hailing from Russia and Brazil.

Pre-schoolers are cared for and taught in Adi Ad, with their older brothers and sisters studying in the elementary schools in Shilo or Itamar.

Men in Adi Ad participate in Kabbala and Chassidut lessons while women learn Torah once a week in addition to Rosh Chodesh activities including a festive meal and learning.

Nusah Ahid is used in the community synagogue. A Mikveh is located in the community.

While there is a fruit and vegetable market in Adi Ad, other groceries can be purchased in neighboring Shilo, where the library and medical clinic is also located.

Egged Lines 473 and 474 traveling between Kfar Saba and Jerusalem go through nearby Shvut Rahel approximately every hour and a half.
