ALON

Alon is a young community village with a diverse group of residents – religious and secular – living harmoniously side by side creating an active community life

Established in 1990, Alon draws many visitors from hikers who come to the Judean desert to soak up the unique natural beauty. Today there are 120 families in the community, many of whom are Anglo-Saxons, but with many native-born Israelis and olim from other countries as well

In addition to the exquisite natural beauty and romantic sunsets, a special tourist and events center is located on the edge of Alon, where camels and authentically-robed staff portray the days of our forefather, Abraham, and offer hands-on experiences including caligraphy and pita baking. The cold springs of Ein Fewar with their shady eucalyptus trees, provide a refreshing resting spot for hikers and visitors

Children from 3 months to 3 years spend their morning hours in the day care center and kindergartens of Alon, with the older children learning in the award-winning, precedent-setting school in Kfar Adumim just 5 minutes away
