DOLEV

Established in 1983, 150 families between the ages of 20 and 50 now make their home in the Binyamin Region religious community village of Dolev. They work in a variety of fields including education, medicine, law, hi-tech and engineering in both Jerusalem and the Tel Aviv area.While the majority of Dolev residents are native-born Israelis, there are also olim from Russia and France

Located at 600 meters above sea level, Dolev enjoys a temperate climate and a convenient location half way between Jerusalem and Tel Aviv

There is a day care center supervised by The Binyamin Regional Council and a three tiered kindergarten with three separate classes divided by age for 3, 4 and 5 year olds

 

The area elementary school for girls from first grade through sixth grade is located in Dolev while the area elementary school for boys is located in nearby Talmon

Most Dolev girls attend high school in Beit El or Ofra with the boys having a wide variety of options including the Zilberman Method School for grades 1-9 and junior high in Niria and Talmon

There is a special Ulpana in Dolev which provides a quality option for young women with learning difficulties

Some of the activities available for children include ping pong, art, carpentry, music, fitness and religious classes. The Bnei Akiva branch provides separate activities for boys and girls

Adults enjoy the fitness room, classes in judo and religious classes in their evening hours

Community facilities include a central synagogue with a nusach sephard minyan and a nusach ashkenaz minyan, a men’s mikve and a women’s mikve, a gym, swimming pool, library, Leumit and Maccabi medical clinics, a dental clinic and supermarket
