MA`ALE LEVONA

Maale Levona was established in 1984 by two families from the Neve Yaacov neighborhood of Jerusalem.

Today 90 religious families make their home on this hillside community overlooking the Levona Valley in Gush Shilo. While most families are veteran Israelis, some made aliya from Russia and The United States.

Residents work in a variety of endeavors including electricity, education, religious services and security.

Pre-schoolers are enrolled in day care and kindergarten in the community while elementary school children are provided with bus transportation to neighboring Shilo.

High School girls learn at the Ulpana in Maale Levona while the boys study in the area Yeshiva High School or any one of a wide selection of quality schools in Jerusalem or in the coastal area.

A Kollel operates in the community.

A short 15 minute drive away, the Ariel College provides a full academic program.
