NERIA

The religious community of Niria was established in 1991 by ten families who wanted to fulfill their Zionist dream in The Binyamin Region. Halfway between Jerusalem and Tel Aviv, Niria provides a temperate climate, beautiful, hilly landscape and easy access to several neighboring Jewish communities.

102 families between the ages of 22-45, engaged in hi-tech, education, agriculture and religious services reside in this lovely village and share a wide variety of cultural and religious enrichment activities throughout the year.

Excellent, warm day care is provided for the youngest children after which they move on to the community kindergartens, a natural extension of their early child development.

Girls continue on to elementary school in Dolev while boys learn in Talmon, only minutes away, or in Dolev at the Talmud Torah.

A fine Ulpana High School for girls is located in Niria while boys can choose between area school and other yeshiva high schools around the country.

In addition to the weekly, separate activities scheduled by The Ezra Youth Group, extracurricular activities include carpentry, basketball, soccer, music, art and animal husbandry.

There are two sports fields in Niria and a swimming pool in neighboring Dolev.

Among the community facilities are a synagogue, mikveh, Kollel, grocery store and medical clinic.

Public transportation from Kiryat Arba and Jerusalem travels to Niria.
